Satguru LibraryStudy Hall

Built for the student who is serious about the next twelve months

Satguru Library is a study hall, not a coaching class. We do not teach, set tests or sell notes. We give you a good chair, a quiet room and a seat nobody will take — and then leave you alone to work.

Our story

It started because there was nowhere good to sit

Anyone who has prepared for an exam in this city knows the problem. Home has everybody in it. The public reading room fills by six in the morning. The one quiet café asks you to leave after an hour, and its chairs were designed for forty minutes, not for nine hours.

So we opened a room with good chairs and made one rule about noise, and kept it. Students came, told other students, and the room became four halls.

We have grown carefully since then, adding a hall only when the existing ones fill — because a library that oversells its seats has stopped being a library and started being a queue.

What we stand for

Four things we will not compromise on

Silence is the product

Everything else — the chairs, the air conditioning, the app — is in service of one thing: that you can sit down and think without being interrupted.

A seat that stays yours

No first-come scramble at 6 AM. You are allotted a seat and it is held for you, so your books and your routine both stay where you left them.

Fair on money

You pay from the day you join, not from the first of the month. Leave mid-month and you are not billed for the time you were not here.

Run by people who studied here

We know what a long preparation feels like, and which small things — a working socket, a lamp that does not flicker — decide whether a day is usable.

House rules

Six rules, and we do enforce them

They exist so that one person's afternoon cannot cost forty other people theirs.

  1. 1Phones on silent, always. Take calls outside the hall.
  2. 2Keep your seat and desk clean when you leave it.
  3. 3No food inside the study halls — use the pantry corner.
  4. 4Carry your own headphones for lectures.
  5. 5Your seat is yours; please do not shift to another one without asking the desk.
  6. 6Report anything broken — a lamp, a socket, a chair — and we will fix it that day.
Ready when you are
